The all-new Mya V4 is the result of months of development, refinement, and a complete rethinking of what a modern high-performance wing should feel like. As rider ability, riding styles, and the sport itself continue to evolve at an incredible pace, we saw an opportunity to revisit every single aspect of Mya and push it further using the latest available materials, technologies, and construction methods.
The boom — it truly is a piece of art. Fully carbon, incredibly light, exceptionally stiff, and a proper evolution of our original twist lock system, now called CFL (Carbon Twist Lock). By completely eliminating traditional fasteners while further increasing the stiffness of the boom-to-wing connection, the result is immediate rider feedback, incredible control, and a remarkably direct feeling in your hands. It is the exact same boom platform used in our race-dominating Makani CR full double surface race wing.
From there, we focused on the frame architecture itself. As the sport progresses, we continue to see the demand for smaller wings capable of delivering higher speeds, greater stability while flagged out, improved maneuverability, stronger upwind performance, and increased overall stiffness. To achieve this, the leading edge and strut were completely redesigned utilizing new composite materials and construction techniques to create the smallest diameter frame possible without compromising rigidity or stability. The result is significant weight reduction combined with an incredibly balanced and stable feel on the water. Just like the boom, the frame architecture and materials draw directly from the Makani CR race program.
The canopy came next. The draft profile has been increased and moved slightly forward, delivering instant power and remarkable low-end grunt while maintaining excellent control at speed. Pumping feels effortless, acceleration is immediate, and the wing remains incredibly composed through transitions. The windows are intentionally compact and carefully positioned to reduce weight while maintaining visibility exactly where it matters.
Once on a wave, the Mya V4 simply disappears. Bring it behind you and it stays stable, balanced, and completely out of the way. It is about as close as you can get to the feeling of parawinging — without actually riding a parawing.
And speed? Part of that is always the rider. But if you are chasing new personal bests, the Mya V4 is ready for it. It is the fastest single skin wing we have ever ridden, while delivering exceptional upwind angles and efficiency across a huge range of conditions.
When we said we revisited every stitch, we truly meant it. Every detail of the Mya V4 was questioned, refined, and improved with one simple goal — creating the most balanced, efficient, and high-performance Mya we have ever built.
