The development of the Makani CR involved countless hours of digital simulation, on-water testing, and iterative refinement.

We focused on every aspect of the wing:

- A new evolution of our Carbon Twist Lock (CTL) boom system, delivering a precise, rigid connection with clean ergonomics

Carefully selected high-performance materials for the leading edge and strut, optimizing stiffness-to-weight ratio

Advanced double surface canopy design, balancing airflow, pressure stability, and drag reduction

Continuous refinement of canopy tension, profile, and load distribution

All of this work results in a wing that is super light, perfectly balanced, and exceptionally fast.
