Short Story
Growing up in San Diego and now based on Oahu, Hawaii, I’ve always been deeply connected to the ocean. My early years were shaped by surfing, sailing, and kitesurfing, which built a strong foundation as a waterman and sparked a constant curiosity about wind, swell, and energy dynamics.
I discovered foiling in 2017 and was immediately drawn in. What keeps me hooked is how foiling removes traditional limits of water sports. Instead of being restricted by displacement or planing, you’re flying above the water, directly engaging with ocean energy in its purest form. Wind-powered disciplines like kiting and winging create exponential acceleration through apparent wind, while prone foiling transforms even small waves into flowing, high-energy rides. Downwind foiling opens up endless connections between swells, turning the ocean into a continuous line of energy.

ATHLETE STORY
Alongside my athletic journey, I’ve always been driven to understand human physiology, especially in relation to performance, recovery, and long-term health.
I studied exercise science, completed my medical degree (MD), and now work as a practicing physician. I continue to expand my knowledge through lifestyle medicine, focusing on helping people improve both longevity and quality of life. Whether in medicine or on the water, I’m interested in how the human body adapts, performs, and thrives.
BEYOND THE BOARD
I’ve always been driven by curiosity about human performance and how the body functions under stress, recovery, and adaptation.
Through medicine and lifestyle medicine, I focus on helping people improve health outcomes and long-term wellbeing. Outside of work and sport, I’m interested in continuous learning, health optimization, and understanding how small daily choices impact long-term performance.
Why F4 Foils?
What can I say — I’ve got a need for speed. When I first saw F4 setups in the downwind scene, it was clear this was a brand pushing performance boundaries. On my first run, the difference was immediate — more speed, more efficiency, and a feeling of unlocked glide.
Beyond performance, what stands out most is the community. The F4 riders are genuinely passionate watermen, always pushing progression while keeping the stoke alive. It’s a crew that shares the same energy and love for the ocean, and I’m proud to be part of it.
