I learned to sail in Southern California at 6 and began racing sailboats by 8. At 15, I joined the US Sailing Team Olympic Development Program and started competing worldwide. I won my first World title in the I420 at 16 and became the Female Youth World Champion in the 29er at 17. I was training for the Olympics in the 49erFX when the COVID-19 pandemic hit. Seeking a way back on the water, I connected with a local windsurfer who loaned me a kit. Within a week, I was hooked!
BEYOND THE BOARD
I studied Statistics & Data Science at university and now work as a data and performance analyst for the US Sailing Team and consult for other Olympic organizations. I also mentor girls in sports through the nonprofit Voice in Sport and enjoy coaching youth sailing. I still sail, most recently with the New York Yacht Club American Magic Women’s & Youth America’s Cup Program and for fun around San Francisco Bay.
