THE SHORT STORY

''Windsurfing is my passion, whether it's foil, slalom, or wave riding. One of my goals is always to be the fastest, reach the podium, and ultimately win the PWA."

I started windsurfing at the age of 5 in 2016, inspired by my father's adventures in Holland, Klitmöller, and Cape Town. It all began with a 104-litre Fanatic Freewave and a 1.4m² Hot Sails. Progress came quickly, and during summer weekends, I honed my skills at Grevelingenmeer / Brouwersdam, particularly at the spot known as "De Punt."

In 2021, I aimed to participate in the "Racer of the Sea" at the Surf Festival in Germany for the first time, but logistical challenges prevented me from joining. The following year, at just 10 years old, I competed in my first ROTS regatta as the youngest participant and achieved success. Another highlight was winning the U13 Wave World Champion title at the PWA Youth Wave World Cup in Klitmöller.

Initially focused on Fin-Slalom, I encountered challenges with variable wind conditions. In September 2022, I ventured to the IFCA at Lake Garda with my first F4 Foil. In my debut heat with the new foil, I finished 6th, sparking my ambition to excel in Foil Slalom.

With unwavering support from my parents, Duotone, Ion, and F4 Foils, I am well-prepared for future races and challenges.
