A Quick Heads-Up: Fake F4 Foils Are Showing Up on the EU Market

Oct 15, 2026

We’ve recently become aware of a number of fake F4 foils being offered for sale in Europe and Asia.

There’s no need to panic, but we do want to make our riders aware of what we’re seeing and give you a few simple ways to make sure you know what you’re buying.

The products we’ve identified so far appear to be old F4 designs, including masts carrying older F4 branding, as well as discontinued front and rear wings. Models we have seen being represented as F4 include front wings such as the 580, 760 and 815, and rear tails including the 150, 170 and larger sizes.

Some of these products can look convincing at first glance, particularly if you’re not familiar with the older F4 equipment. That’s why we recommend taking a little extra care when buying F4 gear from an unfamiliar source.

If the deal looks too good to be true... That old saying is worth keeping in mind.

If you come across F4 equipment being offered at a price that seems unusually low, especially from an unknown seller or an unfamiliar website, take a moment to check where it is coming from.

If you’re unsure about a product, seller, model or price, contact us before you buy. We’re happy to help verify whether something is genuine F4 equipment.

We’re here to support you!

Our goal with sharing this information isn’t to create concern around buying F4 equipment. It’s simply to make our riders a little more aware of what is out there.

We put a lot of time and engineering into our equipment, and we want riders to know exactly what they’re getting when they buy F4.

If you have found an F4 product that you’re unsure about, send us the details before you buy. A few photos, the seller information and the model being offered are usually enough for us to help determine whether something looks legitimate.

As always, if you have questions, reach out to us or your local F4 representative.
