Rider’s Experience: Honest Feedback from the Water
Michael Shepherd shared an honest and thrilling downwind session on his F4 Orca 685, using the thicker 13 mm TE mast.
For this ride, he used:
- F4 Orca 685
- GP 75 cm TE mast
- 135 XS stabilizer
- Appletree DW Prone 57 L
"The performance is still amazing and the stiffness is next level. The Orca has unbelievable low end for such a fast foil which means it works in a great variety of conditions. Slow it down and surf the bumps or comfortably keep up with ground swell and do up on overs without too much pumping. I'm new to downwinding this year and haven't managed to pump up with a paddle but here I am approaching my mid fifties on a sinker with tiny foil thanks to the parawing and this amazing foil. So grateful!"
